Common faults of vacuum furnace and their solutions

Common failures of vacuum furnaces mainly include abnormal temperature, insufficient vacuum, mechanical structure failure, and sudden power outages, water outages and other emergency situations. Depending on the specific type of failure, measures such as parameter calibration, component replacement, seal inspection or emergency cooling must be taken.

Abnormal temperature failure and handling

Overtemperature alarm
1. Check whether the temperature controller parameters are abnormal, and refer to the normal equipment for calibration. ‌‌
2. Test the resistance of the solid-state relay output terminal, and replace it if it is broken. ‌‌
3. Shake the thermocouple probe to observe the display fluctuation, and replace the probe if the contact is poor. ‌‌

The temperature does not reach the set value.
1. Verify whether the thermocouple is damaged, and it can be interchanged with other normal thermostats for testing. ‌‌
2. Check the power-on status and current of the heating tube, and check the circuit or replace the component if it is abnormal. ‌‌

Insufficient vacuum problem

‌1. Basic inspection‌
Confirm that the gas source pressure (above -95kPa) and compressed air (0.4-0.6MPa) are normal. ‌‌
Check the vacuum gauge parameters, furnace door sealing strips and pipeline interface sealing. ‌‌‌‌

‌2. Deep processing‌
When the pump oil is contaminated or too little, the vacuum pump needs to be cleaned and the oil needs to be changed. ‌‌
To check the leak point, turn off the power and check the solenoid valve, pipe joints and other parts. ‌‌

Mechanical structure failure ‌
‌1. Furnace door problem: Loose hinges and damaged sealing strips need to be repaired or replaced. ‌‌
‌2. Fan abnormal noise: Clear foreign matter from the wind wheel or tighten the motor screws. ‌‌
‌3. Pneumatic valve failure: Check the solenoid valve and air pressure, and the faulty valve body needs to be replaced. ‌‌
